Experts agreed on the digitization of internal processes being key to raise competitivity and increase resources optimization. Two key aspects that will play an important role during the sector\u2019s crisis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Benefits of the digitization<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to In\u00e9s Fern\u00e1ndez, Responsible for Financial Processes and Digital Transformation at <\/span><b>Barcel\u00f3 Hotel Group, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the main challenge the company is facing is adding value to the employee\u2019s side: \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We want to minimise manual tasks so that employees can focus on more valuable work and design innovative and efficient solutions<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. At the moment, thanks to the baVel platform, the group is issuing electronic invoices to their providers and their final objective is to \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have 0 paper invoicing<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d in the near future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this line, Javier de los Santos, Administrative Development Corporate Director at <\/span><b>RIU Hotels&amp;Resorts, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reassured the importance of digitization of back-office processes to eliminate manual intervention and redirect employees effort. According to De los Santos, \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">at the moment baVel is our corporate technology partner<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. RIU has digitized its supply chain (issuing orders, reception and reconciliation of invoices) and connect automatically with its purchasing suppliers through baVel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>DINO<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s Key Accounts Supervisor, David Vil\u00e0, offered the distributor point of view on this matter.
