{"id":8759,"date":"2020-08-25T10:00:24","date_gmt":"2020-08-25T10:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voxelgroup.net\/blog\/greece-accelerates-the-implementation-of-the-tax-platform-mydata"},"modified":"2021-04-27T10:07:11","modified_gmt":"2021-04-27T09:07:11","slug":"greece-accelerates-the-implementation-of-the-tax-platform-mydata","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voxelgroup.net\/blog\/en\/greece-accelerates-the-implementation-of-the-tax-platform-mydata\/","title":{"rendered":"Greece accelerates the implementation of the tax platform MyData"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Tiempo de lectura:<\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutos<\/span><\/span>[vc_row type=&#8221;in_container&#8221; full_screen_row_position=&#8221;middle&#8221; scene_position=&#8221;center&#8221; text_color=&#8221;dark&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; overlay_strength=&#8221;0.3&#8243; shape_divider_position=&#8221;bottom&#8221;][vc_column column_padding=&#8221;no-extra-padding&#8221; column_padding_position=&#8221;all&#8221; background_color_opacity=&#8221;1&#8243; background_hover_color_opacity=&#8221;1&#8243; column_link_target=&#8221;_self&#8221; column_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; column_border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243; tablet_width_inherit=&#8221;default&#8221; tablet_text_alignment=&#8221;default&#8221; phone_text_alignment=&#8221;default&#8221; column_border_width=&#8221;none&#8221; column_border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last June 22, the Greek Tax Authority, the IAPR, announced the implementation framework for the tax reporting platform <\/span><b>MyData<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">; and presented the methodology and transmission procedures, as well as the future implementation terms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the launch of the platform, the IAPR wants to have more <\/span><b>control capacity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and provide more <\/span><b>transparency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as well as to contribute to the <\/span><b>mitigation of tax evasion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thereby, businesses\u2019 revenue and expenses will automatically be updated in the platform and the tax files will be available to compare with the electronic book with MyData.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Which data must be reported?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All taxpayers must report the following data on the platform:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Invoices <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and selling receipts for retail sales<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data from the accounting reports\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data from the special tax files and data from the rent\u2019s collection or payment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>How the data is transmitted?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are various ways of transmitting the required data to the MyData platform:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Web portal <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provided by MyData: small companies can use the portal to transmit the data to the Tax Authority manually.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Online <\/span><b>Registration cashiers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: companies selling B2C will have to report the receipts to MyData daily.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Direct Integration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with MyData (ERP or software): to send other compulsory forms periodically.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Service providers <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">connected to a MyData agent: if direct integration is not possible, companies will be able to use an accredited service provider to issue electronic invoices in real-time.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Which is the implementation period?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the coronavirus crisis, the IAPR decided to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voxelgroup.net\/blog\/en\/impact-of-covid-19-in-the-implementation-of-electronic-invoicing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">introduce the MyData platform gradually<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This way, companies have more time to adapt their systems to the new measures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thereby, next <\/span><b>October 1, 2020<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, all taxpayers using the ERP form are obliged to send the data to the platform.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In regards to the selling invoices issued between January 1, 2020, and October 1, 2020, taxpayers will have until <\/span><b>December 31, 2020<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, purchase invoices issued between January 1, 2020, and September 30, 2020, the implementation term is extended until <\/span><b>February 28, 2021<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to be updated about the legislation in electronic invoicing, take a look at the \u201cPanorama of the electronic invoice in Europe\u201d map:\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=&#8221;in_container&#8221;
