Reporting and processes
“El Fatoura” is Tunisia’s electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) system. Businesses generate e-invoices in XML format and submit them to the platform. Once validated, these invoices are forwarded to the Ministry of Finance, the e-invoices are forwarded to the accountants of ministries and public authorities through a dedicated system, and later, the fiscal authorities can use it for a variety of purposes.
Upcoming legislative changes
Tunisia has recently expanded its mandatory e-invoicing framework to include all service transactions subject to VAT.
